Fall Back INLOVE with Fitness! Kelsey Rose Fitness

FALL Back in Love with FITNESS!

Kelsey Hergott |

It’s hard to believe Summer 19' has come to an end which means fall is just around the corner! Fall
is my favourite time of the year for many reasons… the fashion, the food, and the focus on gratitude. I believe that September is the perfect time to take a step back and look inwards in order to make any necessary changes (especially after an indulgent summer) as we slowly start to approach a new year.

When the temperature begins to drop, we become extra motivated for new beginnings with the desire to shed our old habits and things that weigh us down. Many of us work on adopting a new, healthier set of goals as we redefine our priorities for the rest of the year. For those of us passionate about maintaining a healthy active lifestyle, that can mean setting workout schedules, meal prepping, and/or joining fit communities to stay motivated. After all, a healthier body creates a healthier mind.

Kelsey Rose Fitness is welcoming the change of season with some major changes and announcements of our own!. We have grown our team, and I would like to make an informal introduction!E ach one of these ladies brings a different background and skill set, providing our clients with the total package for all thing’s health and wellness… I can’t wait to introduce them all to you!

Meet Bree (@balancewithbree)

Bree is a Certified Personal Trainer and Fascial Stretch Therapist. Her studies in Kinesiology and Exercise Science paired with 6 years of extensive experience with clientele of all ages and abilities has afforded her a research-based approach to helping her clients achieve body composition and performance goals.

Her philosophy is that training should prepare you for your optimal life, whatever that may be, taking into consideration how our lifestyle and environment impacts our physical well-being and vice versa. Bree’s ultimate goal is to empower her clients and equip them with the skills to create their best lives.

Meet Maddison (@maddison.summer)

Maddison is a nutrittion expert that specializes in 1-1 consulting, working with clients to fully understand their current eating and lifestyle habits and the changes needed to be made. From there she constructs an individualized nutrition program that combines balance, flexibility and simplicity. Food should be nutritious but also delicious and as a self-proclaimed (fit)foodie, she insures it's reflected in her work.

There are no quick fixes when it comes to nutrition and we believe in creating not only a healthy
lifestyle but a positive relationship with food. This is the key to feeling healthy, confident & strong!

Meet Deanna (@deescharpf)

Deanna is one year into personal training, with a lifetime of practical experience. By obtaining the Toronto based SL Certification earlier on in 2019 she is now perfecting her practice for functional fitness. Her life growing up revolved around various sports, which then grew into a passion for running marathons and triathlons. After university sports dissolved, a new passion was found at the gym.

Deanna’s objective as a coach is to help her client’s grow into a life of balance. The goal for each session will be to push yourself further than the last time. We are working with foundational and functional moves that your body is meant to handle, all while improving form, weight and abilities.

We kicked off the month with #SweatinSeptember - an annual initiative to motivate all of YOU to get back into your fitness routine while providing the opportunity to win some amazing giveaways from Puma. Want to enter a chance to win?

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO: Take a video/picture of you getting sweat and make sure to tag one of the team members + use the hashtag #SweatinSeptember. We want to thank all those who have participated and shared their workouts which even for me as been inspiring to see! There are still two more lucky winners to be chosen so keep those tags

Breaking a sweat has no many benefits that lead to a healthier body and mind, but it is not the only
factor involved in living your optimal life. Nutrition plays such a huge role in our everyday lives directly
affecting how we look, function, and feel. With summer over and fall fast approaching our schedules
only seem to get busier which is why meal prepping is SO important!

Prepping your meals in advance is a fool proof way to ensure you start off each week on the right foot
and avoid making last minute unhealthy food choices. Imagine having meals pre-determined at the startof each week so no matter what curveballs life throws at you, staying on track towards your goals
doesn’t have to be a compromise you make.

Maddison and I are hosting a Meal Prep Workshop THIS SUNDAY September 22nd 12-2pm at Velvet Lane Cakes (194 Carlton Street). Join us and learn all about Meal Prep 101 with a certified holistic nutritionist and take home fully prepped delicious meals for the week ahead as well as a recipe book and lots of goodies from our sponsors: Organic Traditions, Wholly Veggie and BioRaw to name a few…
