Eywa studio is located at Puerto Beunos in Marbella and might quit possibly be the cutest hidden gem of a studio. I have a friend who used to live in Marbella so fortunately she was able to recommend Eywa to me as that was her go to spot. When traveling to Europe I don’t have the highest expectations for fitness studios because it’s not as much as a trend compared to North America. However, Eywa studio was the perfect boutique styled studio with buddhist decor and tons of good energy.

Eywa offers all different types of yoga including aerial, hatha, restorative, vinyasa, nidra, iyengar and even children’s yoga. They also offer reformer and mat pilates in group sessions or privates.

I went to the aerial yoga class because I have never done aerial before and have always wanted to try – what better place than Marbella! I did not know what to expect, I thought that it was definitely going to be super challenging but it turned out to be a beautiful and one of the most peaceful practices I have done. The poses are the same but with the incorporation of the hammock. Compared to regular yoga I believe it required more strength and balance, I was surprisingly sore the next day which is always the best feeling. The class was lead in spanish so I followed mostly through visual cues. It ended with savasana in the hammock which was honestly the most relaxing moment of my vaycay! It was like a cocoon and I definitely could have laid there forever.

Eywa has full service change rooms with private bathrooms and showers. They also have a hammam spa in the studio which is similar to a sauna but it is 99% humidity form water vapour. I didn’t get a chance to use it but I did take a peek at it and it looked extremely relaxing. The entire vibe of the studio is incredibly zen and if you are looking for a relaxing hour during your trip to Marbella, taking a trip to Eywa studio is highly recommended!
